1. About This Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how fullsndr, LLC ("fullsndr", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you use our trail status notification service, including our website and subscriber application at fullsndr.com, our application programming interface at ai.fullsndr.com, and our SMS messaging program (collectively, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, do not use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Account information you provide:

• First and last name
• Email address
• Mobile phone number (if you opt in to SMS alerts)
• Trail subscription preferences (which trail systems you want notifications for)
• Notification delivery preferences (email only, SMS only, both)
• Postal address or zip code (optional, used to suggest nearby trails)

Payment information (paid tiers only):

• Payment information for paid subscriptions is collected and processed directly by Stripe, Inc. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers. We retain a Stripe customer ID, the last four digits of your payment method, and your subscription status.

Information collected automatically:

• Device and browser information (user agent, screen size, language)
• IP address and approximate location derived from IP
• Usage information (pages visited, links clicked, notifications opened)
• Timestamps of account events (signup, login, preference changes, notifications received)

Environmental and trail data (not personal):

• Trail status snapshots from publicly available trail websites
• Weather data from Weather.gov, Open-Meteo, and Google WeatherNext 2 at trail coordinates
• Soil moisture, precipitation, temperature, and forecast data at trail locations
• This category does not contain personal information about you.

3. SMS Communications and Mobile Information

This section describes how we handle mobile phone numbers and SMS messaging data. It is provided in addition to the SMS Messaging Terms in our Terms of Use.

What we collect: If you opt in to SMS alerts, we collect your mobile phone number, the carrier-derived metadata returned by our SMS provider (Twilio, Inc.), the timestamp and content of messages we send to you, and any keyword replies you send to us (such as STOP, HELP, or trail status commands).

How we use it: We use your mobile phone number solely to deliver the SMS message types you have consented to receive: trail status alerts, weather alerts, account verification codes, login links, and replies to keyword commands you send to our number.

Mobile information sharing: No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of personal information described in Section 2 above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Service providers: Mobile information is shared only with subcontractors that provide services in support of our SMS program. Specifically, we use Twilio, Inc. to deliver SMS messages on our behalf. Twilio acts as our service provider and is contractually bound to use mobile information only to deliver SMS on our behalf and not for any other purpose. Twilio's privacy practices are governed by the Twilio Privacy Notice.

Opt-out: You may opt out of SMS at any time by texting STOP to any message you receive from us, or by disabling SMS notifications in your account dashboard at fullsndr.com/my/profile. Opting out of SMS does not delete your account; it only stops SMS delivery. You will receive one final SMS confirming your opt-out and no further messages thereafter.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Deliver trail status notifications, weather alerts, and account messages you have requested
• Verify your identity (phone verification codes, magic-link login)
• Authenticate you when you log in to your dashboard
• Process subscription payments and manage your account
• Improve trail status accuracy and our predictive closure model
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your personal information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent, lease, or trade personal information for commercial purposes.

We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: We share information with vendors that perform services on our behalf, including Google Cloud (hosting and BigQuery storage), Twilio (SMS delivery), Google Workspace (email delivery), Stripe (payment processing), Google Analytics (aggregate usage measurement), and Contentsquare (product analytics and session replay; see Section 8 for opt-out). These providers are contractually bound to use information only to provide services to us.
• Trail managers: Trail managers using our Tier 2 dashboard see aggregate metrics only (subscriber counts, notification volumes, engagement trends). They never see your name, email, phone number, address, or individual preferences.
• Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of fullsndr, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers: If fullsndr is acquired, merged, or undergoes a similar corporate transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Mobile opt-in data is excluded from all sharing categories above. SMS originator opt-in consent and the mobile phone number associated with that consent are never shared with any third party for any purpose other than delivering the SMS messages you have requested through our service provider Twilio.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, payment records for tax purposes).

Environmental data (weather, trail status snapshots) is retained indefinitely as part of our predictive model training dataset. This data does not contain personal information about you.

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: View the information we hold about you in your account dashboard at fullsndr.com/my/profile.
• Correction: Update or correct your information at any time through your dashboard.
• Deletion: Delete your account at any time through your dashboard, or by emailing lucas@fullsndr.com.
• SMS opt-out: Text STOP to any fullsndr SMS, or disable SMS in your dashboard.
• Email opt-out: Use the unsubscribe link in any email, or disable email in your dashboard.
• Data portability: Request a copy of your personal information by emailing lucas@fullsndr.com.

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we have collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of sale. We do not sell personal information; therefore the right to opt out of sale does not apply.

8. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and measure aggregate usage of the Service. Specifically:

• Session cookies (subscriber_session, session, manager_session): authentication tokens that keep you logged in.
• Preference cookies (phone_verified_grace): track whether you have completed phone verification.
• Analytics cookies: Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _gid) for aggregate measurement of site usage.
• Product analytics and session replay (Contentsquare): we use Contentsquare to record anonymized interaction data (mouse movements, scrolls, clicks, page navigation) so we can understand how users experience the Service and improve usability. Contentsquare masks form inputs by default and we do not record passwords, SMS verification codes, or other sensitive fields. Recordings are stored by Contentsquare under their data processing terms and used only for product improvement. You can opt out of Contentsquare specifically at contentsquare.com/optout.

You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the Service that require login will not function without session cookies.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption in transit, encryption at rest in Google Cloud BigQuery, parameterized database queries to prevent injection, secret management via Google Secret Manager, and least-privilege access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100 percent secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact lucas@fullsndr.com and we will delete it.

11. International Users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to active subscribers at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
